Own Manufacturing, Close Partnership
All our textile baby products are made at our own production company, Paradise Toys (Pvt.) Ltd., in Sri Lanka. Our design and development team in Rödental, Germany works closely with our production team in Sri Lanka throughout the entire manufacturing process – from the initial product concept to the finished product.
Paradise Toys in Sri Lanka
Paradise Toys was founded by Arnold Fehn in 1995 and is part of the Fehn family of companies. The close connection between product development in Germany and our own manufacturing operations in Sri Lanka has shaped the way we work for many years. Today, Paradise Toys employs around 1,800 people across its various locations.
Since 1995, General Manager Neil Fernando has overseen the continued development of the company in Sri Lanka. He is responsible for day-to-day operations and for ensuring that our quality standards are consistently implemented across the production facilities.
From the Initial Idea to the Finished Product
Every Fehn product starts at our headquarters in Rödental, Germany, where our product designers develop new ideas, create designs and produce the first prototypes. Throughout this process, design, functionality and material selection are carefully aligned.
Paradise Toys then prepares the product for series production. Working closely with our development team, manufacturing methods are refined, materials and components are sourced, and production planning is finalised.
The products are then manufactured in a series of carefully coordinated production stages, including fabric cutting, sewing, assembly, quality inspections and final packaging.
Continuous communication between our teams in Germany and Sri Lanka ensures that experience gained during production is fed directly back into the ongoing development of our products.
Working Conditions and Social Standards
Fehn is a member of the Amfori organisation, and the Paradise Toys production facilities in Sri Lanka are regularly audited in accordance with the requirements of Amfori BSCI.
The audits assess areas such as occupational health and safety, working hours, remuneration and the prevention of child and forced labour.
Environmental Management in Production
ISO 14001
Environmental Management System
Paradise Toys is certified to ISO 14001. The standard defines requirements for corporate environmental management systems and supports companies in systematically incorporating environmental considerations into their processes.
Local Community Involvement
Paradise Toys has been firmly rooted in the regions surrounding its production sites for many years.
Among other initiatives, the company supports a nearby primary school that is also attended by the children of many employees. A computer room has been established there to provide pupils with improved access to digital learning opportunities.
The support provided to the school is one example of our long-term commitment to the communities where our employees live and work.
Solar Power at Our Sites
Photovoltaic systems at our production sites in Sri Lanka and at our headquarters in Rödental, Germany generate part of the electricity required for our operations. Since 2017, we have continuously expanded our investment in renewable energy at our sites in Rödental, Germany and Sri Lanka.
In 2023 alone, the installed solar capacity at Paradise Toys was doubled from 382 kWp to 772 kWp.
