Fehn activity toys combine soft animal characters with play elements to look at, feel, grasp and make sounds with. They accompany babies during play at home and on the go: attached to a pushchair or infant car seat, or held in little hands to explore. Most activity toys are suitable from birth, while some are labelled for ages 3 months and over.
Grasping rings, mirrors, rattles, crinkle paper, squeakers, bells and teethers offer different ways to play. Rattles and bells make sounds when moved, crinkle paper rustles when touched, and a squeaker makes a sound when pressed. Mirrors invite babies to look and observe, while grasping rings, fabric surfaces and hanging elements can be held and explored by touch.

Many activity toys can be attached using a ring, C-ring, clip or hook-and-loop fastening. They can accompany outings in a pushchair or infant car seat and can also be attached to a cot at home. Otter Theo has a ring and a hook-and-loop fastening. The Lobster with Vibration from the DoBabyDoo collection attaches using a C-ring. When the character is pulled apart, the pull-back vibration mechanism draws it back together with a rattling sound.
For free play, there are also characters without an attachment. These include the Crab with Rotating Ball Rattle: its rattle ball sits in the centre of the toy and can be turned. Plush, velour, corduroy, muslin and terry cloth give the characters a variety of textures. Smooth, fluffy and textured fabric surfaces invite babies to explore by touch. Some activity toys combine different fabrics made from cotton. Many activity toys require gentle hand washing, while others can be washed at 30 °C. Check the care label before cleaning.
